Introduction - Stefan, the new CM

Hello all,

My name is Stefan and I am the new Community Manager for theHunter. I want to take the chance and introduce myself to you first because in the future we will be working together quite a lot. Originally I come from Germany, more precisely a small town in the Eifel Region near Koblenz and I am 32 years old. I´ve previously worked at Electronic Arts in Ireland for nearly 5 years where I have been a FAQ Content Author, Team Manager and Community Coordinator for games like Battlefield, Crysis and Need for Speed.

I´ve moved to Stockholm this year in the middle of May together with my wife, who also works in the games industry, and have started working at Avalanche yesterday, taking over from Alena who really has assembled a great bunch here from what I could read so far. I am a big fan of open world and sandbox games (Arma series & Rust) which drew my attention to Avalanche titles before.

In my private time I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, camping and kayaking as well as olympic weightlifting and making music (I play guitar, bass and drums). I also have two wild little kittens, Lykke and Lovis, who keep me busy when I´m at home.

Hey boss, welcome to the forum!

It's good to know that the community will stay in good hands when Alena sits on the producer's seat - and if you grew up in the Eifel, I don't have any doubts that you can handle weird guys!

You probably already found our introductions in the public forum and in the moderator subforum, so no need to introduce ourselves in detail. Will you visit your hometown on Christmas? We should consider a German moderator gathering somewhere in the middle of Koblenz, Göttingen and Mainz. Seems we're all outdoor guys and I love to talk about hiking trips!

Have a good start and if you have any questions, don't be shy. How much time did you spend playing the game by the way? Maybe we should offer some initiation hunts - we never did a mod MP game as far as I remember!?!

Thanks a lot, the Eifel is a strange, strange place indeed I would absolutely be up for some initiation hunting since I have a lot to learn about the game and the mechanics. We did a Mod hunt shortly after MP was released. And then we all got together for a Virtual Team Picture (In-Game) with our moderator t-shirts. I can't seem to find it.

A group hunt would be cool. Although I might have to get up in the middle of the night to hunt with all you dang Germans! (and Swedes)

Thanks for sharing the link to your blog Stefan, some interesting reading! The kittens are beautiful, and the climbing system is awesome. I've seen similar solutions online, some of which were several hundred Euros.
