Moderator Team Update - December 2016

Post by Alena Rybik »

Hello guys,

This will be my last moderator update. Because after months of interviews and meetings with candidates from all over the world we finally hired a new community manager a.k.a. main nerd in charge here on the forum-verse, and he will be slowly taking over my old responsibilities! His name is Stefan and he is all round a great guy, I am sure you will like him and get along well. Stefan is going to introduce himself to you tomorrow, but it will probably take him some time to find his way around the forums (we've got a lot going on here :)), so I trust you will be as amazing as always in helping him and each other out.

I am not going anywhere and I will be popping by from time to time, especilly when I need some inspiration from the Hidden Threads :) I will also moderate whenever I can. And I of course will be there for anything you might need, be it moral support or feeback.

I've added you your em$ for November, enjoy! I wanted to say that I was going to miss this little corner of the forum immensely, since here I could be myself more than anywhere else. But hey, I am still staying, only in a different role. You are a great bunch, I am super proud of what we've achieved together in the last three years, without you this forum (or Steam forums) wouldn't be the same and I love you <3 Go mod team!

And by tradition, here is a random picture :) This is a poster I came across during my last trip to Berlin, which I though was an epitome of any creative process (inlcuding writing these updates :))

So let me be the first to say welcome Stefan, and tell you that you have a good leader and colleague in Alena, but she has set a high standard for you to maintain! That was meant to be friendly by the way - I hope your new job with EW brings you what you want, and I/we look forward to speaking to you soon.

And don't be a stranger Alena! We would miss you and start sending you PMs to check up on you :D

Simon

Alena, thanks. It has been much better around here since you've taken over. Glad you'll still be hanging around a bit. Best of luck, and I hope you'll enjoy the new position.

Welcome aboard, Stefan. We have a great group of mods here. I'm sure you'll have no problem getting your bearings. Meet the forum moderators

I just noticed Roger hasn't created a post in that topic. ;)

Be Well

Welcome Stefan, good to have you here. Alena has only good things to say about you, and like Tod said, we're a pretty good team of moderators so we will help you out in any way we can.

Good to see your introduction Simon. What sort of guitars do you have?

Yessss... ze Germans are taking over ze forum! Now it's three of us and since Tod speaks a bit of German too, how about changing the official language in the moderation subforums? Keine Widerrede!!! :D

Alena, we all know that you will be an awesome producer for the game (like Philipp by the way, good luck to him for moving on to tHCotW) and while I wish you all the best, I hope that your new job will leave you enough time to stop by every now and then, post some nice messages and funny pictures or help out moderating when one of our "regular customers" goes overboard. And tell Stefan to think twice before letting Ron or Tony back in.

By the way: who will be doing the missions and competition from now on? I'm just asking because I'm still waiting for those super-awesome duck missions to be released... 8-)

Nice collection Simon. I used to own a Simon & Patrick acoustic, a Woodland Pro Folk, was a great guitar. I was recently in Scotland sorting out and shipping some of my belongings over to Sweden, and a couple of my guitars were there. My Strat and my Les Paul Standard. I had hoped to ship them too but run out of space. Next time. I got a couple of pictures though:

Next one on the shopping list is Mark Knopfler's new 58 Les Paul Standard signature model - here.

Anyway slightly off-topic but nice to have fellow guitarists among us.

Alena, I'm crushed you're leaving as community manager, but I'm really excited to see you in your new role. We'll all be kind to Stefan as expected. :)

Please stay in touch either here or on Steam. :(

Stay awesome,
-TP
