Moderation team October 2015
Hello guys,
I am very sorry for leaving you for one week with no proper communication and having you to deal with all the crap that has been happening on the forums. My mum got pretty sick and I had to go to Belarus on a very short notice, but still, I am feeling bad about it.
Thank you for moderating and everything else you have been contributing with during my absence, and always. We are in a pretty dire situation right now, probably the worst I have seen in theHunter so far, I am juggling a lot of things right now, and having you here means a lot.
I am going to add you em$ for September and October before the end of the day today.
Let me know if you have any thoughts and concerns.
Thank you.

Re: Moderation team October 2015
Well,
i hope your mother is better now. last week i wasn't properly doing my jobs as mod and beta tester as well because my grandmother was very very sick.
regarding the current situation of the game: i hope that it will be fixed soon and i am sure that you guys can do it. just please learn from this and keep improving. you should also compensate the community generously and let your current ceo apologize in the forum for all inconveniences caused.

Glad to see you back and I hope your mother is better too.
I can only work with my tablet fore the time being, course my PC is broken and it seems like I have bigger problems than than expected. I am still trying to repair it, but I might have to build a new rig.
I cant test and moderating is hard to do probaly using the tablet,.. It is a old peace of S....

Alena, thanks for the update.
Don't feel sorry (you probably do anyways
) cause helping each other out is what we do.
Sometimes life comes in the way.
Besides, we just did our job. Thanks for the Em$ later on today.
Anyway, is your mother actually doing any better? I hope so!
As for the current situation: it looks bad actually. We are supporting the game as always, but the amount of affected people is pretty big.
I am having bugless hunts btw, apart from a few issues.
But nevertheless, I fully agree with Tut here:
That might feel like a loss, but since that basically is what most members are worried for ('I lost bait! No I have to buy new!' or 'I paid for this game, now I can't play!' or 'My game crashed - there goes my first prize!') I think it's the way to go.
So, good luck! Stay cool and hope your mom is getting well soon.

I am sure you guys will find a proper way to compensate, and that will most likely have to be a certain amount of Em$ for everyone.killertut wrote:you should also compensate the community generously and let your current ceo apologize in the forum for all inconveniences caused.

Welcome back, Alena.
Very sorry to hear about your mom - she is in my thoughts.
Have been trying to keep up with moderation, as well as Mantis reports. Completely agree with killertut. Situation is really dire and unpleasant in the forums - it feels like the team is pushing too hard, too fast, and people are starting to get frustrated with it. Apologies and gifts only go so far - I strongly suggest EW takes a hard look at their product and figure out what seems to be the issue in terms of both the speed/quality of bug fixing, as well as new content creation vs. old content maintenance.
As an aside, we really, really need a better method for getting testers em$/gm$ on beta accounts for testing - forum posts in beta are not doing it, and testers are finding their Mantis tickets are not working/being answered for testing currency. I'm resorting to pestering via Steam. Still want a 0 em$ item only on beta/dev store that when you "purchase" it, it awards you with 1.000 em$ and 1.000 gm$, so it's under our control as testers and we can refill it ourselves (similar to how we can reset our missions ourselves).
Stay awesome, as always.

Re: Moderation team October 2015
+1 for testing tool. et.al. Would very much like to see other time savers as well. Fast travel anywhere with no time limit would really speed things up.
I think the problem is, if they make Beta different from what they will release to live, they then have to manage that somehow.
As sloppy as things have been going, they are afraid if someone doesn't throw the right switch, those things might get copied over to live.
They would need to fundamentally change the way they do development, deployment, & testing to make it work.
It's a catch 22. They don't have the time to develop testing tools, but developing them would save time in the long run, and result in a much better tested product.
The primary thing they need to change is to stop "biting off more than they can chew". i.e. unrealistic release schedules & adding too many features at once.
For WRR, they honestly could have focused on the environment, cold system, new tents, and released the reserve with no animals.
100's (1000's) of people would have explored it just because it was there, they could have fixed the immediate issues. No one would be too upset if it was unplayable with nothing to shoot.
Or they could have left a bunch of the new features out & released those one at a time when they were ready.
It's bad all around... for the forum/community, for the game, for the developers, and it's got to be effecting the all too precious bottom line???
Ah well, I had some fun playing Hambo & Ricochet Kills & some other physics games this evening
...grant me the serenity to accept the things I can't change...

All the best to you and your family Alena-
I went on a hunt last night with Tony and Ivan so they could show me what was happening. I also wanted to get some video of the bow spooking bug I submitted last night for Ivan. I have some crazy video to edit that hopefully will help.
