took a couple of tries but I got this guy down by the two ponds in the middle. Scent spray and jackrabbit caller, but he was gunning for the scent, so the caller probably didn't do jack. (ha) Had another one come in and spook off again, but was way too tired to find her again.

yeah... talk about luck... I saw this beauty on a hill, very far, and shot it between the branches... I have a very sharp aim, due to more than 5 years playing... I hit him, although not mortally at once... I really feared I was gonna lose him, I never saw a lynx before but it seemed to me too dark to be a normal specimen... I knew that that lynx had to be mine at all costs. And if I had a better aim line and gun I would have got two, I chased another male 5 minutes after that. That area is lynx packed!! SW of Hemmeldal, do not waste time in other locations, straight there!!! I advise to choose a "spot and hit" method, opposed to the luring... you might get less animals, but you have less possibilities to make awful mistakes while luring them in... bring a long range gun and reharse your hawk eye!!!!

I noticed it does this also when tracking it then by the time you catch up to where it starts to roam again it has already
fleed from the spot from getting to close to it. Nice recording catching it doing this while being prone.
It's a trait that the Bobcat also has.

I introduce you my new male lynx kill, second one. I tracked this culprit for ages, literally!!! almost 1 hour and a half! finally stoned him from the distance... I can report two new hotspots which have proven themselves rich in cats! Try the area just south of the dolmens (interest point, the little castle in the map) in the very center of the map, and the snowy hills south of it... between the dolmens and the tower... and don't forget to scout the road from above, seen clues of at least 3 males there...
