long tracking time after lungshots
instead of dying fast after a bow-lungshot some animals need a really long time to die from it.
i noticed this for a while now, but it happend not that often; but today i just had the case with a WB and a sambar that both refused to die; the sambar even needed a second shot after tracking it for 10mins.
even when fleeing straight from point a to point b it would have been to long for a lungshot, but it was going left and from the imaginary line the whole time
i dont think its intentional, but assume that it has something to do with the additional body hit; where you normaly have your lungshot blood trails and after that only a few more fleeing tracks you have a dead animal; with for example hitting also the shoulder blade the lungshot tracks became fleeing tracks, became body shot tracks, became roaming tracks. something that shouldnt happen after a lungshot.
anyone else has this problem?

It's been like that for a long time now, especially if you only hit one lung.

Familiar issue. If you hit one lung and the shoulder blade it can take ages for the animal to die. It looks to me like the shoulder blade hit somehow messes up the calculation for the bleeding or wound time.

I have had heart/lung tracks return to roaming tracks.
That should not even be possible.

Yeah, that's another even more frustrating bug, but fortunately it's very rare in my experience. The long tracking time when hitting one lung plus bone is quite frequent though.Kinarr wrote:I have had heart/lung tracks return to roaming tracks.

Re: long tracking time after lungshots
This kind of topic should be reported in the bug section,...
because not much will come out of it being posted in the General Chat section unless someone also that reads this reports it as a recent bug.
Anything that feels like it is not working as it should or even thought of being a bug should be reported or at least looked at in the Bug Section
to join other already observed subjects. Consistent reporting of a new bug or a known bug substantiates it's legitimacy that it is
still ongoing or happening, and needs to be looked at to finally get it fixed.
Have a good day.

Re: long tracking time after lungshots
Gas is right, we should open a bug report.
I searched the bug section for "wound time" and "lung shot" and I found an age old bug that seems to be pretty similar: https://forum.thehunter.com/viewtopic.p ... 8&p=600416
Would be better to create a new bug report though. This one is too old and we don't know if it's really the same issue.

I would have thought this too. But I couldn't find any bug report about it. Granted, I'm not in the mood to sift through our unorganized and messy bug report section to be honest. So let's just create a new one.gas56 wrote:And I have thought this to be reported since then...........

Why? If the one from 2014 hasn't been dealt with, what makes you think this one will?
