I was considering them initially for keeping players in vectors while in blinds. But there's plenty of uses! Marvelous!

The general rule is you can use them for whatever purpose you desire.
They come in handy for comps and missions if you need to have specific shot distances on animals.
I usually set them up around a TS if they can be used to complete an objective.
They're not a necessity, but sometimes are a handy tool to mark visible measured distances to instantly shoot animals at or mark places to use or revisit.
Although a range finder can give distances and correlate the exact spot needed with a flag marker.

When I have a spot where a feeder or barrel has good production but I want to try another spot, I drop a flag there & move the barrel/feeder.
Before the motion decoy came out, I would hit the predator call, then drop a flag to mark the spot where the fox/coyote would come to.
I have used them to mark a good spot to plant a tower also.
I bought one set of them & I have 12 of them deployed.

I do like the flags marking the railway tunnels too. I'm going to be doing that soon. Thanks.

I used to use flags for marking 20 m distance from my TS. Because I mainly use trad bows.

Also I use flags for marking tracks of wounded animal, if I shot and am tracking more than one.

Only own 2 and it is more than enough ;-)

I use my flags the same way as everybody posted in this thread. I also planted a flag at the top of the summit when I was finally able to climb the great VDB mountain.
