Is there any way to find a coordinates by not launching the game?

Post by HD_Artworks »

Hi all.
I hope you all are fine and have a good time.

I have this question for a while! Usually, when I want to find a coordinate on the EHR, I open the game then open the map and find the coordinate!
I would like to know that is there any way(tool) to find a coordinate without launching the game?

Something like this website?
http://thehuntertools.huntertalk.de/
But this one is a bit outdated!

Thanks.

What is the best way to find the cords when you open the map in the game?

It would be awesome if UHC could get the code and rights for this site and add it to its toolbox.

The Grid map.. which is in the data files. Good luck...........
They could be made but would not be precise, and time consuming from copying the in game map vectors then placing them in manually.
The easiest way would to get each Grid Map from Each Game Map and copying them, although that I wouldn't think would be attainable...
but you never know.

That site is dated but if you are just looking for coordinates wouldnt it be sufficient? I would think they didnt change the coordinate system on the maps.

I've just taken another look at this website to see what could be reproduced in UHC.
  • list of permitted weapons by weapon or by species
  • HooCairs spawn maps
  • suggested feeder locations
  • map designer
  • harvest heatmaps
  • organ maps
The first one is easy enough to add. The second one can also be added, although since it already exists in the forum I don't see that UHC would add much value. Suggested feeder locations has to an extent been taken care of with the "share your reserve" functionality but an additional page to allow UHC members to record good feeder locations would be easy enough to add. The map designer could also be created, however, I have to question how frequently it would be used. I personally can't think of a scenario where I would want to plot world items on the map, just to see how it looks. Perhaps I'm missing something though. Harvest heatmaps are covered already with the expedition analyser, and the organ maps tool is also just copies of the animal organ maps from the game. I'm not sure what value UHC could add to that.

To summarise, the following could be added with relative ease:
  • list of permitted weapons by weapon or by species
  • suggested feeder locations
  • map designer
The items not on the list would not be worth adding since UHC cannot add value over what already exists in the forum or the game website/launcher. I would have to see more demand for the map designer, since I really can't imagine a use for it. I don't understand the benefit. Perhaps someone can explain that to me.

These three features is so coolm IMO.
But higher priority for me is Map Designer! Find coordinates on the map, etc.
