Call to Open Beta - February 16th

Post by Philipp Strecker »

Update:

You can now access the Open Beta via Steam as well.

The Open Beta has started!

You can go to www.thehunterbeta.com and login with your credentials from the last open beta or start a new account.

- There might be some hiccups as we introduce changes to the patching system and launcher.
If the "Hunt Now" button does not work for you, try starting the launcher executable from your computer directly.
A reboot of your computer also always helps.

- It will take a bit of time until you will receive your 10 000 em$ (about 10 minutes).
Buying an item for 0 em$ in the store might help.

Have a look at the guidelines what to test and how to report.

The Polar Bear is in a hunt-able state from now (Friday) until Monday afternoon (CET).

Happy hunting,
your (slightly sick) EW Team

----

Hey all,

here you can find the latest update regarding the next Open Beta which is scheduled to start tomorrow, February 17th!

We have a lot of illness in the team (the winter strikes back) but we hope to go through with the Open Beta as planned.
Unfortunately, Alena is out sick as well, so communications will be slow.

Let us know if there are any questions and we will blow the horns again once the Open Beta starts for good!

Thanks and all the best,
Phil

I'll possibly take part of the Open beta too, I would like to see this new AI and see how the restrinctions work.
Just a suggestion: not everyone knows how to access the Beta from Steam, so it would be nice if in the status update you add the instructions to how access the Beta from Steam :)

Takes me forever to install the game client. Can we install it before the Beta session starts? Or do we have to wait until tommorow?

Phil, there a specific reason why em$ is being limited to 2500? I was looking to do a bit of testing on the beta with another 1 or 2 duck spreads. 2500 wont get the decoys and im certainly not going to spend money for 120 more decoys on a hunch only. You guys should maybe increase the em$ on test servers, plenty of people would use it to test guns etc for future purchases
