Nice... thanks for the em$, Alena! :D

I don't have a clue about this Mantis thing (where do I find it for a start?) or how to work on bug reports, but as usual I'll ask questions. A lot of them...

Indeed but it will be worth it, increased overview of all bugs, better usability and it will also speed things up. So it might not be funniest thing ever but it is something that have to be done :)

Dennis, thanks for chiming in here, and in the Beta forum. I hope interaction with the testers & mods will be a regular part of your job.

I think the crucial thing with Mantis or it's replacement is training & reference material to ensure that all parties using it (designers, devs, mgmt, testers, mods) all understand how to use it properly, AND that it gets used institutionally by all parties. Right now a lot of things getting worked on don't even make it to Mantis and are just managed in the beta forum. And I'll bet you can find a bunch of tickets in Mantis that are improperly classified.
When Alena asked about the top 10 bugs, we should have been able to do a quick sort/filter in Mantis and have the answer.

Will you be looking at the entire process, in particular the manual process of submitting, updating & syncing bugs between the forum & bug tracking tool?

Of course, none of this matters if the company doesn't give developers time to fix things. But your presence indicates that ideology might be changing a bit.

Be Well
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!

I am responsible for the entire bug report management so everything reported will be processed by me, for example I will make sure all the issues always have the latest information and that the person that is required takes a look at it when there is time. I cannot say much about how the new system yet but if I get what I request then everything should get smoother for everyone including you(moderators). I will make sure to write a guide for the new system and make it easy to understand with pictures and a few suggestions.

As always, anyone is welcome to pm me with questions at anytime and I will do my best to answer them. :)

I still haven't time for bug reports, so I'll leave that to the pro's! :P
