Re: ethical for bison
This is the first animal that you cannot shot with all shotguns or bows.
I'm glad to see K98k and 7mm Bullpup is legal for Bison!
I will use those until I can afford the badass 45-70!

Re: ethical for bison
Bison is like a tank! Shot one with crossbow, from 30 meters, hit Right Lung, Intestines, Stomach, Spine 3. Went down, paralyzed, but alive! Shot him two more times, Spine 2 + Right Lung, Left Lung, Liver, Intestines, Stomach. And, with all those vital organs wounded, he died after 47 seconds!
Now, i know why Longbow is not allowed!

That's gonna make it awfully tough to complete missions where 100 % Harvest quality is required if you don't have the 45-70

Same for me, shot lungs, skull, shoulder and blade with the Parker Python at 11.4 meters...and it run during 216 seconds before dying !JackRbbt wrote:Bison is like a tank! And just to say...my first encounter...had no time to shoot, the bull charged me and sent me to the moon...well, to the lodge

The 8x57 being ethical but the 30-06 isn't. I understand the .308 but why the .30-06? I hope it is not solely because it is a lever action too.

Re: ethical for bison
Thanks God (or EW! ) they are slow. I met a herd (one bull and five cows). I had time to kill 4 of them, with 7 shots, then tracked the other two and put them down, all in 10 in-game minutes. Looks like bison is easiest to hunt species...
