What's your best shot ever?

Post by HunterStrait »

I was hunting whitetail at redfeather falls, and i stumbled upon a big whitetail buck. and i mean BIG. I shot him, but didn't hit him real well. And so i shot him again while he was running, but in the head. The sad thing about this is, the host of the server lost connection, so i never harvested the buck.

One time I had this roe buck walking towards me to my call. It got within bow range and I took a shot with the recurve. Bad shot I missed so it took off. Well it was headed right for this wooded area that was real thick about 60m from me. While it was sprinting at the woods I switched to my rifle (can't remember which one) and took aim, by the time I got it in my scope it vanished into the woods. So I just took a crack at it prob 7-8m into the woods through all the trees I couldn't see through. I thought hmmmm wonder if I hit it? As I stepped closer I see it lay there right where I shot into the woods bullet hole right behind the ear in the head. Lol lucky shot. Kinda like the clay target I shot the other day with the 8x57. I was like holy hell I wish I recorded that!

Shotgun or bow? I'd like to see it done with the .223 that'd be cool.

Shotgun, have done quite a few on them in MP.

However with the .233 - See ronMcTube's video here: http://forum.thehunter.com/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=44985

Taking a Standing shot at a bull moose from over 180m, missed it but ended up hitting a whitetail doe's leg in the background. It died after around 80m.
