I am pessimistic, too, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Did a short hop into COTW again a few days ago, but it will not win me over, I just dont get warm with it, and the first animal encunter reminded me of what keeps me so very away from it as a hunting game. But a beauitful walking simulator, I give it that it looks good. But it does not reach me emotionally.

Played two sessions in Virtual Hunter instead, fruistrated. Had a great, intense hunt in that.

And no gow back to THC, for as long as it still lasts. It will remain unsurpassed, much remembered and terribly missed, so much is clear.

Yes indeed, Skybird. It will be missed by many. If it rises up again, I, along with you, and countless others, will certainly be happy. ;)

I can't say i've seen absolute irrefutably that the game will live and also work perfectly, but I've seen enough to tell me it was absolutely possible for the game to be given an offline mode. It didn't have to be killed, avalanche higher ups killed it, and that fact convinces me to NEVER buy another avalanche product.

The game never worked perfectly from the beginning, so, an offline mode would certainly have my interest. Let's hope it happens. I'd certainly play it offline- no arguments from me there. :)
