theHunter: Classic | Beginner's Guide by πˆππˆπ¬π“π¨π¦; https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-RBcWdPRVCguZ2GO1P_aD1qsLcCzmNkdJVcGLmlpzkk/edit?tab=t.0

Welcome to theHunter: Classic. Here are some tips that will help you get started in the game!

The Snakebite Bow is basically the strongest and the most silent bow in the game. I would highly recommend purchasing the Snakebite Bow, together with the .300 Bolt Action Rifle with 5.5-22x56mm RifleScope - Eagle Mk I. and Inventory Upgrade. This allows you to carry more equipment in your inventory. Another option is to purchase the Classic Starter Weapon Bundle instead: https://www.thehunter.com/en/#store/bundle/326

The most efficient way to earn GM$ is by completing your mission packs. The Mission Toolbox made by Kak2R is very helpful! The missions that are colored green are available for the player to complete. On the left side you can select different items/options: https://classictools.github.io/MissionItemTool

Aren't you sure if your weapon is ethical for the species you are hunting? Would you like to know if your animal is worth taxidermizing? Definitely check out the following link as well; https://classictools.github.io/MissionItemTool/Ammo

The Dall Sheep Mission Pack and the Snowshoe Hare Mission Pack are doable with starter weapons, which is great! Also - Feel free to ask for help when working on completing Mission Packs when you do not own the right ''equipment'', like rifles, bows etc. There are always people who are willing to help on both theHunter: Forums & theHunter: (theHunter:(Official) Discord Server;https://discord.com/channels/393040947006406657/491900827686928384

There are some great ''Free-To Play'' Mission Guides on YouTube as well that are worth watching. Link: https://youtu.be/A-HX6IlHRio?si=2ouqYidIfZnYhLaf

I am not sure if you need this information; however, I will put it in here just in case: when you spot animals (binoculars) and track animals (ID them with your HunterMate), you level up your skill levels. The more tracks and animals you spot, the higher your level will be over time.

Walking up straight is perfectly fine; however, I would be a bit careful with running, since animals spook a lot easier when running, obviously. When there are animals near you, it would probably be best to switch to crouch walking. (Especially when you call animals in or when there are animals nearby).

There is some more detailed information on the Wiki. You can have a look at that as well.

If you purchased a new rifle, bow etc. You could do some practice at the shooting ranges that are located on most hunting reserves; Whitehart Island, Logger's Point, Redfeather Falls and Timbergold Trails.

If you have any questions in the near future about theHunter: Classic, please let me know. I am happy to help whenever possible.

Nice of you to do something like this for the beginners- only thing is coloured links have never worked on this forum, this isn't Discord after all. ;)

Actually, there IS a way to make colored links in the Forum... you just have to know how to do it.

Since you know how... makes you smarter than all those who don't, I guess, right? Good job.

Thank you for the help, Splainin. It's much appreciated! I had no idea colored links didn't work - I guess every day is a school day.

Thank you! Discord doesn't have a whole lot of colored text options. I believe there's green and red, however, it will make the text look a bit strange. I am not a fan of it to be honest.

Yeah, I'm not much of a fan either. The good thing is, that they work now. Hopefully it'll reach some beginner's. I wonder tho', how many folks will start posting puke green links. Keeping fingers cross that not many do. ;)
