I have been hunting these things at the wrong time of day! I have never seen that many Sambar anywhere together like the images show. Holy crap, have I ever been missing their migrations. I will admit tho', I don't often hunt that reserve. If you need to post more, maybe yeah, switch to image links. ;)

We will find patterns. I've agreed with and said that previously. What I'm saying is that it won't happen every single time, every single session we ever play.
We'll have sessions where the pattern will be awesome! We'll see a TON of animals. We'll have sessions where we only see a few animals. And we'll have sessions we do the same exact thing we did every time before and we'll hardly see any animals. It's not the exact same result every single time.

Okay I switched to thumbnail links.
Attempt #4. Since I had a few hours left, I decided to do a long hunt, starting at 9:00 and hitting a couple of the feeding areas before jumping to the GTS at 11:00. First up is the feeding area north of the GTS. Right away as I get in the treestand there’s a hind feeding close to my tent. Why is she feeding? Why doesn’t she go to sleep?
Image

After coming into the lure and then losing interest, others just wander around feeding. Why aren’t they sleeping?
Image

Just before 10:00 I spot a couple of Bantengs (red arrows) and a hog (blue arrow) that are sleeping with a couple of Sambar still feeding away. Why aren’t the Sambar sleeping too?
Image

Then, at exactly 10:00 the two Banteng get up, but the hog doesn’t. That’s because sleep time for Banteng (and Water Buffalo) is 9:00 to 10:00, but sleep time for hogs is 9:00 to 11:00. The hog’s alarm clock is set later.
Image

On to the next spot, the feeding area east of the GTS. In the map I only have a flag showing there because I was using that tent and treestand to scout areas west of the river. I moved them back. When I get there Sambar are scattered all around feeding. After coming in to the lure, what do they do? Do they drop down and go to sleep? No they wander off and resume feeding.

Image

Back at the GTS, by 12:40 before I jump east I have eight Sambar sleeping under the treestand and a couple sleeping farther off.
Image

Nothing significant at the eastern stand other than the usual routine. The Sambar that don’t immediately drop down to sleep wander around for five minutes or so before going to sleep. At 13:00, right on schedule they wake up and come in to the scent lure. It’s amazing how predictable they can be when you actually hunt them.
Image

I've only got an hour left in the comp, so I'll have to go back to the short hunt for my last attempt.

Why are there only 4 in the area around 12 (noon) and why are they wandering off headed EAST? Why aren't they sleeping? Why aren't they going Southeast? I'm at Binkies Golden Tree Stand location.

Explain that.

Here's where I'm at in the above image:

Yes. They will do the same things often. Sometimes several sessions in a row.
We won't have the same exact results every single session every single time we ever play on the same reserve.

Attempt #5. A short hunt. By 12:40 I had five Sambar sleeping directly below the treestand again, and two more, including a low scoring big stag, sleeping off to the left.
Image

I didn’t bother jumping to the east stand because time had run out for the comp.

Five attempts with nothing worth shooting for the comp coming in. That’s how the RNG goes sometimes.

Five attempts with Sambar sleeping under my stand between 11:00 and 13:00, every single time, but not at any other time.

Time for bed.

So you understand Random Number Generation but you refuse to accept that animal behavior is also randomized.
Why are Sambar the only animal in the entire game that anyone has ever figured out has a time of day routine?
Why didn't they do as you claim they do in my games, every single time?
Am I going to the wrong spot? Am I doing it at the wrong time of day?

Obviously it is different for every person who hunts there- that is the RNG isn't it? This thread has been cleaned up twice now. If we have to clean it up again, we'll be taking different measures. Please, settle down and be cordial. Thanks.

Bort, I was going to go back through your posts and detail how you have constantly misrepresented what I’ve said, but I don’t think it would even be worth it. So I’m just going to leave you with this.

Even as far back as 2012 the developers contradict you on this very forum. The people who wrote the code for the game contradict you.
Let me quote it.
Stefan Pettersson wrote: February 17th, 2012, 7:21 am Improved Animal AI
Animals no longer wander aimlessly through the EHR. Each species have different goals during different times of the day that may attract them to suitable areas for completing them. The goals currently supported are: Feeding, Drinking & Resting. Species X may for instance choose to drink at 9am while spices Y prefers to drink at 5pm.
https://forum.thehunter.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=32323

They introduced that to the game back in 2012. Does that sound like animals just behave randomly regardless of the time of day? No. It’s the exact opposite. “Each species have different goals during different times of the day”.

That's the point I've been trying to share.
