No evidence but I once potted 5 Rock Ptarmigan in 3 20G auto shots. Getting 3 Ptarmigan in one shot is great, I've done it with Ducks and Geese not with the small birds. :D

Not bad 3 ptarmigans in one shot, that's my maximum for this type of bird, (which I hate!) obviously for ducks, 5 is common, but here I say bravo! ;)
