45 minutes of achievement prompts?
This has happened to me a few times before that, for whatever reasons (which is why I'm asking this creating this topic), when I start a game I get prompts for the achievements I've earned that spans 45 or so minutes into a game. Why is that, what causes it? I thought it might happen because a new season was created but I don't think that's the case for it happening to me yesterday. Either way, and a second question on this topic I have that I'd like input for, is this a bug? Why the heck does it scroll through however many prompts there are for achievements like that? In my opinion when we reach an achievement it should only ever prompt us ONCE.
Once and done.
Once and done.

Re: 45 minutes of achievement prompts?
Servers were/are crazy. I had the same.
Plus, hunts are not closing and going to the hunt history history.
On a slightly tangential issue, I got the 8760h achievement but it didn't unlock on steam. So, I thought yesterday's achievement bonanza could fix it, but no dice. I'm sure I allowed time for all achievements pop-ups because I left the PC unattended for long enough to end the hunt's day, and by my calculations it should take about 77 minutes for all my achievements to be displayed.

Re: 45 minutes of achievement prompts?
Huh...I just looked at the account I play on on the website's achievements and they're all zero now even though in-game it rolled through all those prompts yesterday.
That makes the prompts even more strange.
As my topic text asks: Why does this happen? It's not a new season as of yesterday, is it? If it is that kind of explains it but it doesn't make 45 minutes of prompts any less annoying.
Nor does a new season make achievements reading zero make any sense either. This all seems whoops'd.
There's an obvious disconnection between the server info and the info listed on the website/in the launcher.

Re: 45 minutes of achievement prompts?
I have the very same problem here. Sorta glad I'm not the only one.
Downloaded the game on a new computer on thursday(been away since 2020), two first hunts were all good.
Then my hunts were slow to close - not really closing at all, and failed to show up in the history. Tracking & spotting progress does not update either.
Also had all achievement prompts roll through my first hunt yesterday, but nothing in my profile (same as you guys).
I still seem to be able to play, do missions, comps. etc.
But my hard work improving new skills for the post 2020 animals won't register. Neither do new all time best (except from the two first hunts in BR).

There's some ongoing server issues addressed by Avery in the discord, whilst everything is slow it will be fixed everything is still tracking correctly including competition trophies & EM internally.
The achievement thing though I cant imagine, your achievements will now display the new date they've been assigned too this bug whilst more common during this batch of server issues has existed for the better part of the last year.

Thanks for the info! I avoid Discord like it's a plague, as I do with all social networks. So I don't get or see any news that's locked behind the account requirement which is pretty much everything that's on there. It's good to know the devs know about it. Thanks!LittleDeer wrote: ↑May 10th, 2025, 9:42 am There's some ongoing server issues addressed by Avery in the discord, whilst everything is slow it will be fixed everything is still tracking correctly including competition trophies & EM internally.

It would be nice if they announced something about it here and on Steam discussions.

Totally agree with that! The Forum used to be the go to place to find out what is new, and what is broken. Now you have to have a Discord account- and if you don't, you are left in the dark, which I find a bit unfair. It is the principle of the whole thing. If Devs can take the time to post on Discord, they should be able to find the time to post here too.Bort wrote: ↑May 10th, 2025, 11:12 amThanks for the info! It's frustrating that sites like Discord, that demand an account so they can sell your data or you're locked out of everything there, are where a lot of announcements are made and they're not made or shared anywhere else. They could at least copy/paste the stuff here and on Steam discussions or the Steam News page so everyone has (free, public, and safe) access to know these kind of things.BCKidd wrote: ↑May 10th, 2025, 12:05 pmTotally agree with that! Re: 45 minutes of achievement prompts?
Well, you need a Steam account to view things there, and a Forum account to be able to post here...
Forums always *used to be* the place to get the latest news and discussions... but then again, how many people here still have only one telephone, and it's attached to the wall with a cord? Like all forms of technology, it has advanced and there are now faster, more accessible, more efficient ways to let the greatest amount of people know of news and updates. Forums are no longer the "go to" places for the latest information- nor have they been for a while. I mean, if you look at your profile settings here, it still asks about your ICQ, Yahoo Messenger and Skype account names. All three of these once-very-popular forms of communication no longer even exist!
If you're worried about your data being sold, the easy solution is to always have a "junk" email address to use to sign up for things. Then, you get the benefit of using the new technology while the creeps that buy your data get junk.
