There is a good chance that is a Dall Sheep, they seem to get trapped under the ice there often. As for the screeching and spooking- yeah, they are left overs from the WRR Event. The Devs are working on fixing it, even the Cottontails on LP screech like the creepy snowshoe hares that were running rampant on WRR during the last event. I'm hunting Whiterime Ridge. In addition to the rabbits screeching, it appears that Arctic Fox are still automatically spooking some distance from my tripod stand. I have called in two separate foxes at least twice from the stand, and when they get just so close - probably 50-60 meters - they just spook for no apparent reason.
Could this be another artifact of the Event?
Edit: I'm going to take this back. It appears the spooking issue is caused by something else. There is another animal running around trapped under the ice at Frigid Rapids. I think that is what is spooking the foxes.
