Still no joy, l now get "theHunter - Portal" window, waited for a while and it went back to the first window saying "Link your account to Steam" which l can not do as my e-mail and password is with steam !

same issue here, can't log in. Tried the above, no joy. Uninstalled theHunter, reinstalled still can't log in. waiting for the fix.....

That screen, where it asks you to "link your account to steam", requires you to input your theHunter account details, not your Steam account details. As in, those you would use to log in to thehunter.com website (the launcher just basically loads that website into itself).

If it makes you feel any better, let me just say you're not the only one struggling to even get the launcher up and running. On one attempt, as the launcher eventually gave me the "not responding" dialog, it also somehow crashed my desktop Discord client in the process. It's just very messy right now.

Also: Check if you can access and log in to thehunter.com on your web browser. If that doesn't work smoothly for you, launcher isn't going to be able to get through properly either so you can save yourself some trouble.

The first fix worked for me after trying for while clear cache and had log back into steam trying get score in league comp but its now working as it should or bugged not sure which so now dropped 200 places it now counts your best score - worse not sure how these events brake the game so bad really wish wouldnt run them no more after xmass now again

Yep i tried link to steam and entered theHunter log in -- didn't work. I tried new hunter then selected existing account and tried my theHhunter log in -- didn't work. Im sure lots of folks are having the issue of getting the launcher to work. Log in to the web page works fine, just not the launcher via steam so its a launcher issue.

I didn't try this one time. been around for 10+yrs so i have learned that sometimes you have to try multiple times

A friend i play with didn't have any issues. He is running windows 11, i am running windows 10.

after multiple restarts uninstall twice, video driver update, more restarts.... its working. assume it was all related to the servers being busy and me being impatient

It has been quite stable for the last while. Was indeed a bit messed up at first. Working now tho'. Following Avery's steps seems to get things rolling.
