Avatars of disconnected players are still in the game

Post by _dfad_ »

Bug Report
Game Mode: MP

Description:
There were some players hunting in a waterfowl blind with me. They disconnected but they avatars, as well as a dog of one of them, still were in the game, standing still.
This might correlate to another bug when a dog stucks in a wall of a blind. This happened just minutes earlier.
I tried to remove the blind and place it a couple meters aside - no result.
The screenshot below is after moving the blind. It shows that I'm the only player in a session, but two more players and their dog did not disappear.

Steps to Reproduce:
Happened first time for me today. I haven't seen that behavior earlier and don't know yet if it's reproducible on demand.

I've been experiencing this for years. I assume it's a connection issue. It happens in my games randomly.
Without being able to share steps that reproduce the problem developers aren't able to investigate it.

Sure, but they might add another piece of code that executes once a minute, checks if all players are still online, and "release" those that are not responding. It's not ideal approach but better than nothing. :)
