Have you played The Long Dark?onkel_henry wrote: ↑November 12th, 2024, 10:45 am I fell down a rabbithole called survivalgames for 3 years.
Last year after upgrading my laptop to one that can handle some of these newer games that have long caught my eye, I finally purchased The Long Dark as I like open world sandbox survival games...especially ones with beautiful nature in them. It took me a while to get into it because it's very challenging and there's so much to learn. It's not an easy game to pick up and play for the first time. I've been slowly getting into it though. I like the challenge. It seems to be a quality polished game. It's beautiful, with a rich open world, challenging, and it doesn't try to mislead the player with graphics quality (surface level qualities), even though it has a unique and pretty art style. It really is a challenging game that has a steep learning curve. I had to mentally prepare myself that if I was going to enjoy this game I have to take the time to learn it, much of which will come through experience and failures.
What are your favorite survival games?
