issue with daily missions weapons?

I just got the .17 rifle from the daily missions but I discovered that kills made with it and the .300 rifle (Muddy Girl one) don't count towards the weapon stats ranking :/ Does anyone know why?

If I may ask; How many kills do you have with both rifles? What are your weapon skill levels for each rifle? You might have both rifles maxed out already.

They don't count for achievements either, and they shouldn't. You can only get them by completing a year and a half of Daily missions.

As Bonedigger said, I believe the difference with these two weapons is that no one can just buy them. They are award prizes only.

It would not be fair to give out extra credits or block achievements because of something that one can only acquire by logging in daily for an extended period of time. Not everyone can do that, nor afford to buy a "resume" card every time they miss a day.

(I sure am grateful for those resume cards, though; they have saved me more than once!)

I have less than 10 kills with both... I didn't want to buy them precisely because they are free and I usually play with other weapons... I used the .300 rifle only in a regular mission and the .17 I just got this week, and love it... but sad to know that I worked so hard to get it and that the kills I made with him were not registered and that I´ll have to buy a regular one when I already have a nice engraved version of it

Any kill you make with one of those weapons still counts toward your animals if you haven't maxed the animal. I just tested the engraved .17 HMR with a snowshoe. I had 209 for the snowshoe rank/score. I now have 210.

In my opinion they should count together with the regular ones - like they do for weapon skill.
I was not aware they don't count for Hunter Score / ranks of the weapon. Since I have the engraved .17, of cause I want to use it. Now, I have 385 kills that have not counted.
This beautiful weapon will spend some time in the cabinet... To be more precise: for the next 553 kills with the .17.
