Release Notes - 15th May 2024 (Gameplay challenges)

Howdy Hunters!

By popular demand, we've introduced Gameplay Challenges to Classic. Most of these will be for the longer term players, but we hope they'll give each of you a little something extra in your hunting or a new goal to pursue. You'll find them under the Achievements tab in their own section called Challenges.

So here's how they'll work:

 Each Challenge can only be earned once.
 There is no special reward for earning them, just the little badge and the bragging rights.
 We'll be gradually adding to them over time to keep things interesting.
 They will not affect your Hunter Score or any other metric in the game, except what you earn in skills by completing the challenges.
 They won't always be so serious ;)

Grab the Update HERE on Steam.

Happy Hunting!

:D I like the Pincushion one. "Hit the same animal five or more times with arrows". That's one where you shoot it in spine 3 to paralyze it, and then shoot it in the leg four more times quick before it dies.

Silent Sniper
"Harvest a Turkey that was shot from over 88m with a crossbow pistol with a heart shot."
That's going to take some practice with the crossbow pistol, and a lot of bolts.

Was surprised in my first hunt of the day trying to do some bobcat missions, standing in the central tower of logger's point map shooting a few things then i saw a popup saying i killed 3 animals in 5mn or so, while still in the tower shooting at other things and not having collected anything, one of those was a female whitetail albino so i also got this one when i harvested her.

Now the question i am asking is : are grouse and turkeys considered like land animals or not for the 3 kills in one shot ? Yesterday i shot a pack of 5 coyotes standing together at my motion decoy from this same tower and all i had was 4 body hits, not even a kill, did not bother to try tracking them, it was a quick double shot using the 16GA/9.3x74R combi rifle, both fired before they started to move and flee away, i know 16GA was not great but it was under 20m shots, maybe the tower altitude and angle of the shot was not optimal and a treestand will be better for this :/
Anyways curious about grouse especially.

Also the 20 blood tracks will be tricky... Not sure if i ever seen so many while tracking a wounded animal, might be because i don't hunt big game much, i mean banteng, bison etc

Next hunt going for spine shots i guess...

Thanks for the different challenges team. These are nice and off the wall exercises.

The spine 3 trick works for the Pincushion challenge. Hint: Don't use the Pulsar. I probably could have put a few more into her before she died if I didn't have to reload the quiver in the middle of it.
