30R Is A Good Gun

I'm impressed with the 30R. I have killed everything i've shot with it and they were all knockdowns I believe except two and that was because the game saw what I call a lung shot as a body shot. One shot I took at a bull elk was 304m across a lake and it was a double lung. So, it's a flat shooting powerful caliber. That bull was a knockdown.

The .30R IS a helluva gun and cartridge.

It is easily the best .30 cal in-game aside from the .300 win mag. The updated .308 win can also double-lung at that distance now, but the .30R is more forgiving on those body shots just like you said.

Being an O/U double gun is a nice exotic touch too! Don't see too many of those on the gun racks here in California

I liked it from the day I used it to shoot the first Sambur with it. Up to that point I was madly in love with the 7mm bullpup but it was just a little underpowered and not up to reliably taking down the Sambhur.
In fact I like it so much I decided to upgrade to the gold version even though I didnt need it ... and it could have been seen as an excessive waste of money.

It is. If you're thinking about it you won't be disappointed.

Another feature I didn't mention because I feel one shot is all we should need, but if you do need a fast 2nd shot the 30R will give it to you as fast as you can pull the trigger two times. Way faster than bolt action guns. The disadvantage is if you take multiple shots you only have two shots. It does reload fast though.

For speed shots I really like the .30.06 Lever and the .45-70 lever. I do have the 30R and it is definitely a good rifle. Maybe I should level that one up. Respect,

Lever guns are fun to shoot. I had a nice 30-30 I loved. Too bad they made the one in game a bit weak.
