Look At The Ground Simulator

Post by Mark_Monkey »

I have been running around for the last few days looking at the ground instead of hunting.
Why ?
To complete the fathers day mission.

I have not enjoyed this mission, it has been really dull and boring looking for antlers.
Please drop the inclusion of running around for hours looking at the ground from missions in the future.

Regards
Mark Monkey.

P.S. I am still unable to find three antlers to complete the mission, I think it ends today  .

I agree with you that running to find antlers is not cool/fun. ( sure you can find them just randomly while hunting, but when you need many of them from different species for a mission, it's different )
Also, the grinding of species/animals to gain points takes a lot of time.
Other ways should be considered to make these events more fun for the majority of players.

If some want to grind for 20 hrs a day, that's fine by me. Just not my cup of tea!

For a couple of years now this game for me has become a '' walking simulator''.

I've never done a mission. It was my plan from the beginning and I stuck to it.

I'm not one to be told what I should do. I prefer to do what I enjoy most. In the case of real hunting and Classic. It's elk hunting. I never get tired of doing it.

I read so many complaints about missions. You don't have to do them. Just go hunt what you like and have fun.

I am confused as to why there was a need to run around picking up antlers at all, since it was stated that there would not be any collectables in this competition.
Old hunters never die. They just sit around the campfires and tell the biggest lies.

Hi everybody.
I have completed all the tasks in the Father's Day mission within the 5th day, then I've passed the other two days searching for Roosevelt Elk antlers in all the three reserves without finding a single one, and I've not completed the mission.
I was obviously also hunting (and harvesting Elks), but it was still quite boring.
Strangely, finding Whitetails and Moose antlers was very easy and quick.

While running around looking for Mission/Comp items you can also get your tracking skills up,
if while doing so you find the item(s) you need to complete the Mission/Comp :)
Ghosts don't die they just fade away, like players do every day.

I see this all the time. Why do you want your tracking skills up?

The same applies for weapon skills?

The ability to tell the weight of a tracked animal with a higher % accuracy, max was 90% may have change.
The higher your weapon skills the less scope/weapon movement, more so when doing long shots.

Plus it was just a suggestion, no big deal !

Not what I meant. I know the advantages. My question was why do you want to make the hunt easier? Aren't you killing animals at level 1?

Would you rather hunt with the knowledge and skills you had as a 12 year old or with the knowledge and experience of a seasoned hunter?
Have a MeLLoW Day 8-)
