massive buck!

today i had a buck in my scope the score was 200-215 ! I counldnt believe it . After ten mins waiting it it to come right in close, the bloody scent hound ace starts barking ! well long story short the dog is no longer with us.

Sounds like you had 10 minutes to remember to give the dog the stay command. The only time I've had issues with animals spooking with a dog set at stay (that I'm aware of) is turkeys will spook when they get close to my treestand.

If an animal is close enough to spot and read its score, its close enough to shoot. Serves you right for messing around.

I'm sure it was a mule deer but we may never know. He hasn't been back to the forum since starting this thread.
