I would think it was just easier to write the same code for each jacket and just change the result needed to be > for each. Something like current date minus registration date > 10, 7, or 5.

Yeah, i think also it's a code thing . Easier , simpler that way . But don't make lots of sense to me . Two jackets are useless and will gather dust in the closet .
