How much time it's take for animals to lose spook stats

So I'm doing the Holidays 2018: Joe's Back for Bunnies with the .17 HMR Lever Action Rifle
usually there's more then one at the same area, and I not sure how to spot/ or how much time it's take for them to lose spook stats after the first shot.
I lost 2 for not been eligible for the competition, even after waiting some time...
