Kill one and don't harvest it. Call the others in, or find another somewhere, then collect them both within five minutes.

I killed one from a tower close by a tent, and left it there and didnt kill another until nearly two hours later, way over on the opposite side of the map. I collected the 2nd one and fast travelled back to my tent to collect the first one. Done in less than a minute. Of course if you are carrying a tent you could place it by the first kill to ensure you have fast access back to it once you have your second.

Treestand plus Crossbow (or bow)
Then harvest all at once.

I know this was from an earlier hunt, but it serves the point well.
