Antler missing

Post by FrozenHorse »

Hi,

is it normal that front part of one of the reindeer's antler is missing? I'm new to reindeer hunting - we don't have them in my country :).
This one is also listed as typical. Thanks.

Yep ! quite normal and you'll see that a lot .
There are no NT Reindeer in the game . Only rare ones .

Those are called "palms" and supposed to be 4 of them - it's normal to be missing 1 or more- This is one way to tell if you have a decent scoring reindeer if it has all 4 palms-

That's called the shovel. Most only have one, but when Caribou hunting, you always want to be looking for the "double shovel" for high scoring. The points directly behind the shovel is called the bez, and you want they to be well formed as well.

Well it looks like EW left one shovel in the ground digging around just a little too many tines.....whoops!.......I meant to write: too many times,.....
though tines will work.......
