Forum Dwindling?
I have noticed how few responses and visits there were on recent forum topics. Looking at the participation around 2014, 2016 and 2018 in general and around the Summer Fiesta events in particular, this year looks pretty weak when comparing the numbers.
The first column is the number of responses, the second is the number of views.
Summer Fiesta: We went from around 40.000 viewers in the past to about 15.000 this year.
Were are the participant and viewers of the past years?

well less players than ever and declining over the years will lead to less viewing replying. without being negative its just how it is.since january we had on steam a avg per day of 715.8 now its 392.2 obviously not counting the webside launcher only. but that is still half of what played since january on steam gone.might see numbers pick up a little soon with it getting colder more gamers play with dark nights and normally bigger releases but the game is getting on so you will get a decline. still quite surprised at the decline from january though.

All games & their associated forums grow & wain over time. Doesnt matter how good the game is people lose interest & move on & new people come in.
There is also the the issue of interest in a given event. There have been posts about lack of participation in the summer fiesta specifically. I dont think it was hit very often just due to a specific lack of interest.
Speaking for myself, I am fairly active on this forum & yet I bet the Summer Fiesta didnt get more than a page view or 2 off me. I just had no interest in it.

What was your reason for not having interest?SoftShoe wrote:I just had no interest in it.
I wasn't interested myself because they had these massive comps suited to a few players only.

For exactly the same reason. I wasnt willing to commit the kind of time that those comps would have required.HooCairs wrote: What was your reason for not having interest?

Re: Forum Dwindling?
forum is dwindling ? when the top post is about killing a moose or a buffalo with a bow at 600 meters then you know its time to move on
it might be a game but a bit of reality is important
a falling arrow wouls not even wound most animals
also guests should have access to more animals when they start and also access to multiplayer games so they enjoy seeing experienced hunters
i tried to get more people in the game but they dont see the fun beinf only able to see whitetails and rabbits
more hunters= more forum users

I haven't been online much over the last months to be honest.
The last thing I want from the game when it finally ends: An offline, single player version.

ALL animals are available to see - and - kill.lefrog52 wrote: i tried to get more people in the game but they dont see the fun beinf only able to see whitetails and rabbits
You just do not get to harvest most - no credit toward "Hunter Score"
But they are all there and all can be killed.
