Was finally able to update Steam, copied the game folder as I did in the past and the update kept repeating itself. I am able to play through Steam but not through the website.

I had problem to update a one year old install yesterday.
It downloaded a 573mb patch and said "ready wait for installer to finish".
Never happened, restarted launcher and it started downloading again.

Just downloaded through steam and it worked, had to download whole game though.

Before when I have had problems with launcher I downloaded game through steam and then copied files downloaded from steam to launcher folder and it worked fine.

Not fixed for me.
Downloads launcher then says "READY please wait for the launcher to install." and just sits there and does nothing for 30 mins.
Cant access cache to clear. Close and start again and it does the same crap again..
PS
After several more tries the launcher finally installed then 3 more tries before (Each time installing The launcher again ) before it was able to restart itself and download the patch.
Finally installed the patch.
