Re: Barren Hemmeldal
Hey all,
We have just done a quick Hotfix, turns out the Lynx did eat all the Ptarmigan!
Everything should be back to normal now, sorry for the inconvenience!

Nooo! It was a convenience, because I hate those birds. Why did you have to ruin Hemmeldal again?!TreeKiwi wrote:We have just done a quick Hotfix, turns out the Lynx did eat all the Ptarmigan!

Maybe you could finally add that simple toggle into the launcher: "Do you want to hunt birds? Yes/No"TreeKiwi wrote:Hahahah we were always doomed with this fix
Should be easy, as it is now proven that you know how to make them disappear! Right?

I was really hoping to get lynx in the mountains of Val-des-Bois, eating those ptarms too. Once those pesky birds are gone, maybe hunting ibex is fun again?

So what is the problem then with the ptarmigans? Your ibex hunting is hampered by them?

Re: Barren Hemmeldal
Ibex hunting was more fun without them. Mostly I hate their tracks everywhere, I once suggested that small game had smaller domes so we could ignore them if we're looking for other animals. And all the chirping and wing flapping noise doesn't increase the fun for me either. But of course I understand that I have to adapt - I've heard that some players do even like them.HooCairs wrote:So what is the problem then with the ptarmigans? Your ibex hunting is hampered by them?

Re: Barren Hemmeldal
From my point of view, the problem is that they just are really annoying, way too often landing two meters in front of the barrel of my .300 when I am prone on the ground trying to get that good angle on a bear or something else. Just as an example.HooCairs wrote:So what is the problem then with the ptarmigans? Your ibex hunting is hampered by them?
Generally, It's their really stupid behaviour, and the constant flapping sound when they are flying around, never really fleeing away from the player, that really gets on my nerves sometimes. Some other players may like them, I hate them. It's a matter of personal opinions and/or tastes, and that's something you, nor anyone else, can change. And even based on only this thread, I am definitely not alone with this opinion.
