After a few hundred shots, I can confirm that no animal can be hit from 500 meters and over or deployable targets, the ammo does not hit anything after 499.99.

i can rmemeber tree saying 500m being provbably the max in a stream when the render change was coming.maybe 500m is the max that registers.i guess we will see . i thought by now we might of had just over 500m so maybe thats the magic line.

It is easy to test. Just set up a target at 500 meters and I will guarantee that you can not hit it. That is if it has not been fixed but I don't think it has.
