Greetings guys/gals,
Sooo...
I see this ghost Grizz WAY off in the distance. The chase begins...
Every time I get close enough for a shot - I miss. "buck fever" 4 sure...
I cannot say how many times I lost the trail...
started doing outward spiral tracking from the last track...
Found it again... and lost it again, and found it, and lost it....
Finally, after 4 hours track time, 4 km across, back and forth, crossing rivers.
I hit it center mass - "intestines" - not proud of that hit - but tickled PINK to see a blood trail!
just look at those red eyes!
My first albino.
or so I thought.
Score: 16.339
Harvest value : 0
Weight: 178.20 kg (392.86 lbs)
Time of Harvest: 2018-06-18 18:42 UTC
Shots Hit: 1
Shot Distance: 77.38m (253.87ft)
Weapons Used:
.30-06 Lever Action Rifle
When I became a member I bought two lodges. One for "Normal" trophies, and one for "Oddities".
But I did not have enough gms or ems to mount my first albino...
So I bought more ems - got it mounted.
THEN....
I find out it is a "Blonde" not an albino.
It is missing... a pink nose.
ergh...
It might not be the Albino I thought it was, but I can tell you this...
I will NEVER forget this hunt.
Thanks for a great game!

If you couldn't realise the animal is rare or not in the game, you can realise that in two simple ways:
1- Just look at the "Last Hunt" tab and you can see your animal and parentheses after the animal name, you can see the rare or fur variation type.
So, this is your hunt stats.
https://www.thehunter.com/#profile/olge ... n/81639375
You can see it wrote Grizzly Bear(Blonde).
2- Just click on your animal picture on the stats and you will go to scoresheet page.
https://www.thehunter.com/#profile/olge ... /608743217
There is a section called "Type". This section will tell you the animal is rare or not.
I hope it helped you a bit.

A simple way to get lots of gms is to complete missions, you can get thousands of gms doing missions, and so you can save the ems for equipment and weapons, and use the gms obtained to buy consumables or taxidermy.

I find this game amazing for these types of emergent gameplay. Almost compares to the feeling of some real hunts. You will always remember that hunt and have a great gaming experience to share. id say although it wasnt a albino, being a blonde and having that story and personal determination (of which I admire and respect as I am the same way) behind it the mount is well worth it. Congrats!
