Post by Nathan112244 »

Just wanna see what perfect long shots you guys have made so far after the new render distance extension.

Well this one's a small target--making it a bit harder--but with a not-so-long range of 210m. It's not that impressive as it was standing and I was in a tower, though. I have quite a few goats and bison now for the comp that I'm trying to up my score for, but this coyote was a heart shot at 210. Gun is my trusty 7mm, which I'm using for everything except bison, who laugh at it and run away. Had to switch to .45-70 for those.

Nice the 340. Weatherby with the scope is insanely good for long range on big animals because it doesn't have much drop. If u have it id say it might work better.

Not a perfect shot but 260m on a running kangaroo is not too bad in my book.

Thanks for the heads-up! I don't have one but I might have to give one a shot (ha, accidental pun... anyway). The .45-70 is a great gun, but the accuracy & drop at those ranges gets pretty hard to predict, or rather, I don't have the experience for it yet.

Yea i tried the 340 and its just about dead maybe dropping like 4-6 inches at 300m but the 45-70 is hitting where the notch/space is on the reticle at around 270m so it must be dropping close to 2 feet.
