Imagine my surprise or AHHH MAN!

Post by BearJohnson »

Greetings guys/gals!

I have been playing as a guest for the last 3 days.
Still am.
For yet another 7 days.
but then...
Membership, lodges, new rifle and shotty, improved cap, and more.

I have been blasting away at all animals in my sights.

Last night I killed my first Mule Deer and Feral Hog!

NOTE the EYE shot with a 12 gauge slug!

Then (AFTER) the Monday update... I go back for more!

I am walking toward a hill with the sun in my face...

Suddenly I see, silhouetted in the red sunrise, the MOST massive Mule Deer staring at me.
I swear it looked like there was a tree growing off it's head!
HUGE RACK.

So I snap shoot my slug gun at him...

"You do NOT have a license to hunt this species"

wait, what?

Dang...

I watch him hop out of sight...

Live free mighty Muley...
Your days are numbered.
That number is SEVEN.
Seven days...
Then...
BOOM!
I may be a noob... but I still have fun!
Trigger time = FUN!

If you're about to buy your first membership, I recommend you check out one of the membership bundles that includes a membership plus all sorts of goodies to help start you building your inventory.

Ahhh man, did the free animals switch over mid-hunt? This is the reason I first got a membership lol. Only hunted whitetail, but saw a herd of elk with TWO piebald cows and had no license!!

If you have time & play through Steam you can screenshot with F12 so at least if you see something cool you can share it later, btw!

I came over from COTW. I have spent some cash but the entertainment value and fun I have been having doesn't have a price tag. Wa shunting with my brother last night when we see this HUGE whitetail with the gnarliest rack. He decides not gonna take a chance he bolts away so he switches to his rifle (we were bowhunting from a tree stand in Rougarou) his hands were shaking he tells me and he almost muffed the shot. But nailed a 212 non typical. The funny story is we though it was a record as the typical record is 204 I believe. Found out 212 for non typical was small we were not discouraged because it is still a gorgeous rack.

Nice stuff new folks! Welcome! Love reading the thrill of the new experiences! I think it takes us all back to what grabbed us by the throat! :D

Grats on the NT Mackie!

Bear, look at the 12 month and this is why, for 12 mo's you get 3 deployable towers. These aren't available any other way. And yes, the best deal is a bundle for the other items. I pieced it together too in the beginning, dipping my toes in. Bottom line is, it cost me a lot more in the end but then, there's no promises you'll still be stoked in 6 mos, or you will be a full blown addict- The coolest thing is, I still remember when I got hooked and why, especially when I read stories like these! Enjoy the good stuff! plenty of pain in this game too, like blowing a shot on a NT - you did good this time
"Out of all competitors, Radamus was the only one who got it I think" - BCKidd
"Ugh, I absolutely hate the thought that Radamus is right about this and I was wrong...!!!" Splainin2do
