The new long range 5.5-22x56mm RifleScope ‘Eagle Mk I’scope
With increased render range and a new long range 5.5-22x56mm RifleScope ‘Eagle Mk I’scope, will EW take the time and effort to make us an accurate representation of a mil dot reticle in this new item of equipment.
It would be a great disservice to the game and the community to miss this opportunity to make this new scope work correctly.
Here is a link to the exact specifications for the mil dot scope, the distances over incrimental dot measurements and how it can be used to its best advantage.

As of right now the only guns with bullet drop (noticeably) are the 22. S and 17Hmr.
Neither of which being guns available with this scope.
If they do add this Reticle and bullet drop we would only be using the Crosshairs and 1 dot below
(2nd dot if we are shooting at 300m and assuming the bullet ballistics are the same as this chart shows)

The trajectory drop has supposedly always been built in correctly, but as you state is not noticeable at ranges of 200 yrds. This is correct for the weapons classed as high velocity and zero'd at 100 to 200 yrds.. But with an increased render range to 320 yards on the flat there should now be the possibility for up to 500 yrds shots using height to best advantage.
Check out the trajectory on the 45.70 to see just how much drop will be experienced with shots out to 500 yrds then compare it with say the .340 and understand why a properly calibrated mil dot reticle would be so useful.
There are many places that these longer shots should be able to be achieved on the mountains of Timbergold, the Val and Hemmeldal or even off the cliffs above the swamps and beaches at Piccabeen. Will be interesting to see what the long range experts can do.

Ballistics have always been there. They got a major workover a couple years ago and are actually pretty close to realistic for most of the weapons.
If you find a spot to view 200m shots, you would see the bullet drop.
And at 300m, even the hot little .17 HMR HV should be dropping a couple feet.

I sure hope they do have mil dot recticle scopes on the 1st focal plane for exactly the same reason. To be fair, 320m really isnt all that far. IIRC my 300win mag sighted at 100yds will drop around 8in at 300yds. Thats nothing more then holding a little high on big game but could mean a miss on a fox (not that I would use a 300 on one but you get where I am going with this).

I used it for a 300m shot at a Bison with a Weatherby. Drop at that range is less a 30 cm / 1 foot I would estimate. I like the scope, I like the sight picture but I doubt I will ever need more than the first additional bottom marking.

Can someone who has the scope please post an image of the reticle?
It bugs me to no end that there are no previews of them in the store...
