Trophy of the week (Question)

I have a question about the trophy of the week. Where is it supposed to be posted in order for it to be considered?

For some reason I thought that they were to go in the corresponding threads for what the animal is.

My understanding is this... Trophy of the weeks shots arent necessary trophies (big animals) rather they are for trophy shots that are especially good irrespective of animal size. Those other threads you list are for true trophy/rares.

I understand that but I think that when it was announced it was supposed to go into the specific threads for that animal ( I will have to do some searching and find it) I could be wrong but my memory has not completely gone yet..LOL

I agree, I wasn't actually aware that there was a new "Trophy of the week" thread unless, yeah.... My memory did fail me too?

Because of some of the issues we were having. It was decided that the contest should be split away from the TruRACs thread.

So now if you want to enter an animal in the Trophy of the week, it goes into the new thread. However Rare of the week still needs to be in the rares section.

The only reason I even asked is I had saw a post asking players not to post in both threads. Before that I was not even aware that the new thread existed.

The new "Trophy of the Week" topic is actually the old "Truracs" topic. (i.e. it has the same topic ID) The links that Mat posted for that contest should all point to the "Trophy of the Week" topic. If you click on the link in the news announcements or on social media, it should take you to the appropriate topic.

The Truracs topic (all posts prior to the start of the Trophy of the Week contest) was split off and placed back in the Fan Sites forum.

Just to clarify, It is not "Highest scoring animal of the week".

It is Trophy of the Week. We pick an image we like, it might have a nice story with it, good composition or just a good picture. There are many things that make up our decision.

I've been posting in the wrong thread all along
I guess I checked that the first time I posted and then went straight to that thread in the forum without re-checking the link in the status update. Probably other players did the same.
