4th anual community meeting of Die Jagdfreunde
Hey folks,
as maybe some of you remenber from this status update from 2016 our theHunter community Die Jagdfreunde meets once a year IRL to have a fun weekend.
Right now i am a few hours back from our 4th anual tH-community meeting:
We all had a great time enjoying the sun:
doin some archery:
playin around with a airgun:
or playin some Poker, Pool or Tablesoccer:
But the most of the time we are sitting around and enjoy to see each other and having some great meals:
I hope these pics give you some clou how much fun we had. And all this started by all of us playin a weird niche online game, ridiculous.
And to all of you out there sittin around with a group of people in a TeamSpeak:
Go out to meet each other IRL, make it happen its very much worth it!!
Happy hunting,
Forst

Looks like a good time! Where did y'all meet at?
Such a gathering is somewhat harder to orchestra in the US. You can driver across the better part of Europe in a handful of hours. The same amount of time wouldn't get you out of several of our states. By way of example Stan is 7hrs from me, Tod 5 & Rad 4 to name a few that I know are "close".

You've obviously never been to Europe. What sort of car do you drive? Is it red with a prancing horse?SoftShoe wrote:you can driver across the better part of Europe in a handful of hours.

Driving in the US is far different to driving in Europe. The roads are incomparable, at least for the most part. It will take you almost 24 hours to drive from the south to the north of Sweden. That's just one country. Last year it took me around 8 hours to drive about half the distance across Spain, from west to east. It takes a full day to drive from border to border in France. Driving from one end to the other end of Europe, given the roads, would probably take about the same amount of time as it would to drive across the US from southern CA to northeast ME.
Gathering looks like it was a lot of fun. Great initiative!

Hey ForstHeld,
are you the second guy from the left? If you are, then I can tell you that you once worked (or still do?) where I studied from 2009 until 2013
We all know that the world of foresters is small...but I didn´t know this would be the case in an online hunting game ^^
All the best

Well I might have spent a little time there... I lived in Germany for 3 years. From my home in the outskirts of Stuttgart I could be in Paris in 3hrs, Amserdam in 6 & Rome in 10. I must confess that I have never been to Sweden.caledonianblues wrote:You've obviously never been to Europe. What sort of car do you drive? That was more then a few years ago. Back then what was commonly refereed to as Europe was allot smaller.
It really wasnt possible to travel to anything in the red part of the map.
