Getting stuck in between tree roots on piccabeen

Post by james990 »

Has anyone else experienced getting stuck in between tree roots on piccabeen. Has happened to me twice and is really annoying as I have to fast travel or end game because of it.

Been reported, supposedly fixed but still in game.
I have over 1337 kills with my Longbow at 100% kill rate.

Sure thing, has happened to me too! You can not go any way and have to stop playing or fast travel to a tent...
Time for adding a jump motion for the avatar isn't...?

This character can kill 1200 kilogram charging buffalos. But he cannot get out of some roots.

A "jump" function would be pretty nice. But you have to remember that it would create just as many, probably more, situations where you could jump into trouble. Deep water boundaries for example.

It would be sufficient if they would would just modify all the roots, small rocks, etc. so the polygon normals are less steep than the threshold that the character can climb/walk over.
It's "Tod", with one bloody 'd'!

EW "conveniently" made the foliage in Peekaboo at eye level when crouching, so if you are on high settings, this is what tempts you to crawl on to the long tree roots, so you can SEE. If you happen to fall off the wrong one...you're stuck. I think Tod1d has the best solution.

I'm glad this not happened to me yet! But this is the moment that we will tell ourselves "Why we can't jump?"

Tod1's suggestion would also fix the issue were animals get stuck between the roots.

Jumping and saving loadouts has been asked for ages, we finally got loadouts...for a price on ems, so i can foresee the day we get a jumping function will be trough an item like this:

It may take space in the backpack too

Seems like the simplest solution is to just stay away from the roots, they aren't really a problem.
A problem is when your game crashes on WRR every time you play it.
