I remember when I turned 50. I went to the DR for my annual physical. DR gets done checking me out so I say to him "Well dock, think I will make it to the big 100?" He says "Well you're in great shape. Do you smoke?" So I tell him, "No sir! I quit smoking 20yrs ago! He says, "Well do you drink?" I proudly say "Have been on the wagon for the last 15yrs." He looks at me & asks sardonically "Well do you chase wild women??" I sigh & say, "Nope, been happily married for 25 years." So throws his hands up & says "Well what the hell do you want to live to be 100 for then?"

When I said the half-way mark, I meant 38, not 50. I'm not optimistic enough to think I will ever be a centenarian. Although who knows, with all the medical advances going on these days.

Thanks again folks for the birthday wishes ;)
