theHunter weapons and their examples
Hello everyone,
I always wondered if it was possible to find all the real weapon models which our ingame weapons are modelled after.
While some are obvious (such as the Blaser and Anschütz rifles) and others are easy (like most of the "classic" rifles), I can't get them all together with my limited knowledge of firearms.
So, if you know any of them, please post them here, possibly even with a picture for comparison.
Maybe you even own some of them yourself and can comment on the accuracy of the ingame model?
Thanks in advance for all your answers, I hope this is interesting for more people than just me!

Re: theHunter weapons and their examples
Looks like the .45-70 (not the premium) Is modelled out of the 45-70 Marlin. I remember seeing it in the Jurrasic World movie right after WRR got released with it, and thinking how good it looks in the game and in real life
45-70 Marlin IRL
45-70 Laminated Wood In-game
The stock doesn't look exactly the same, but i think the devs were looking at a picture of the Marlin while making it, and threw in some crativity from their side and made it a bit different:)

Re: theHunter weapons and their examples
Obvious ones aside the 223, 270 & 300 are just generic bolt action guns IMO. No distinguishable manufacturer.
The Stutzen is based on the Mannlicher Stutzen
The 17HMR is a veritable clone of the WInchester 9422
The 30-06 lever action is a Winchester 1873
The Blaser R8 is a Blaser R8
The 7mm break Action is a Blaser K95

Didnt think about handguns...
45 Long Colt is is probably a cross between a Ruger Blackhawk & Colt 1871. It reminds me allot of a 45 a company called Shileen <sp> that used to make 45 revolvers years ago.
The 10mm is a Colt 1911
The 454 is a Taurus Raging Bull
The 308 is a TC Contender
The 44 Magnum is a S&W 629 Performance Center Hunter
The 44 Revolver is a Ruger Super Redhawk
The 357 Revolver is a Ruger Redhawk
The Grasshopper I cant quite place. I am not much of a 22 person so I know I have seen them just dont recall the name.

Those are some really nice ones SoftShoe.
I wouldn't have thought that the .308 Handgun or the Inline Muzzleloader are actually a thing.

Are you sure about that one?SoftShoe wrote: The Blaser R8 is a Blaser R8
