Hi everyone.
When I apply face paint to my character and check the huntermate app for camo the face is still grey in color like it's not even applied/working.
However when I use a face scarf it clearly shows a face scarf icon in brown color to show it's working so why doesn't the face paint show on the huntermate app as green or some other color so we know it's at least working?
Devs aware of this?
Would be nice to get a response from the Devs on this.

Re: Does face paint work?
I would imagine since the face paint is not area specific, it will show like the B&C outfit does, which is grey.
The above statements are strictly my opinion, and should not be taken as fact, even if I believe them to be true.

B&C gear shows brown on the huntermate app the face paint however still has dark grey on the face area like nothing is applied.DHRifleman wrote:I would imagine since the face paint is not area specific, it will show like the B&C outfit does, which is grey.

Re: Does face paint work?
It seems to help, at least most of the time for me.
But often if I'm crouched or worse yet, standing, nothing helps stop the mass exodus of frantically fleeing animals simply due to my stance regardless of how much camouflage I have on.
I wish they would dial back the x-ray ground penetrating radar vision most animals have in game so things like face paint, camo clothing and yes, even the grass and foliage that we can't see through would be more effective concealment for us.
With that said, I do seem to have better results with face paint than without it for the most part since I hunt mostly short range.

Re: Does face paint work?
Been a long time since I used the app, and see that the non-specific camo (B&C, Outback, etc.) is brown/tan, and non working area specific camo items show light grey vs working showing green.Ravenousfox wrote:B&C gear shows brown on the huntermate app the face paint however still has dark grey on the face area like nothing is applied.DHRifleman wrote:I would imagine since the face paint is not area specific, it will show like the B&C outfit does, which is grey.
Which face paint are you using? If I recall the Halloween face paint had no camo effect which is the only one I have, and it shows dark grey like nothing is applied like you said yours shows.
The other face paints should show as brown/tan in the app for it to be correct.

I'm using the face paints that give good visual reduction. Crosscut, Distortion, Shapeless.
Not one of them show up on the Huntermate app as if it's working - all dark grey around face area on app when applied.
Might be best if you tried the face paint that gives good visual reduction and app yourself before we continue this conversation.

Re: Does face paint work?
Face paint is not considered clothing, so therefore does not appear on the HM app. They don't really need to though, since they're always working once applied, until you hit the 4 hour time limit.
