I don't know anything about rifles, but judging from the in-store description the .340 is a bolt action rifle, right? It's the most powerful rifle in the game and its magazine holds three rounds...

I believe, as above mentioned, it is the .340.

Yeah the .340 is the most powerful one by quite a lot actually, then followed by the 9,3x62, the .45-70 and the 7mm

The .340 is not only really powerful, it looks amazing and sounds really good when it goes off. It's my favourite rifle to shoot with.

The 340 is most powerful but least versatile. Most versatile goes to the 7mm with a close second the 8x57 of the modern choices. Classic I think goes to the 7.62X54 ~ just my thinking

Re: What is the most powerful non-singleshot bolt action rifle
Most powerful? Probably the .340, but I think the Buffalo is a close second, in my opinion more powerful than the Government. It sounds good on paper, but the fact is that it's only allowed for big game: hogs, boars, bears, bison, moose, elk and red deer.
As for the most powerful weapon for the most species; in my opinion the .300 and 7.62X54R ,the Bullpup just isn't as powerful as those two, this is based on experience in the field and after testing on the shooting range. Note that the 7.62X54R, unlike the .300, cannot be use to shoot bison and polar bear.

If we consider a rifle that's a powerful all-rounder, that is, it's not only allowed on the big game, then the 9.3x62 must be right up there, that is a very powerful cartridge.
