I bow hunted elk today for first time in ages, why do elk travel so far now after a lung/heart shot. Killed 4-5 everyone of them ran 150-300m. They never used run that far was always 20-50m then drop dead its not fun having walk halfway across a map get your kill each time.
Don't get me started on boars "intestine" shot

Re: Lung/heart hit..?
Can I ask you something? I noticed hat this bug occurs less often than before. But I also noticed that in the statistics of the hunt there is written bodyshot, but blood said lung/heart shot and then transformed to bodyshot.
So is it possible that it is not lungshot/heartshot transforming to bodyshot but vice versa? I am aiming on the lungs/heart, but there is still small chance that I missed a bit and so it is bodyshot? And the actual bug is that from bodyshot near lungs there are few pools of lung/heart blood?

Well now fast forword to 2018 and this is still happening. I just follow the tracks when possible and find the wounded animal dead after a period of time. This happens more then once in many instances. Eventually you will find the animal.robjul wrote:http://forum.thehunter.com/viewtopic.php?f=130&t=46640

Its from hitting a single lung and shoulder blade (usually).Greywolf01 wrote:Well now fast forword to 2018 and this is still happening. It shows the blood from lung first and then changes showing the shoulder blade is hit.

TYVM figured was close to heart just off a tad. All you need to miss is by a tad lol Seem to be doing better just figuring how to get more heart shots with the bow. That is my weapon of choice for a very long time. Now comes the recurve bow and that is a challenge.Nathan112244 wrote:Its from hitting a single lung and shoulder blade (usually).Greywolf01 wrote:Well now fast forword to 2018 and this is still happening.
