Adding Animals To Reserves

Post by INTIMID883R »

I really didn't know where to put this so I chose here.

I have a couple serious questions.

I did see a post that 200 animals spawn in a given map.

When an animal is added to that map what effect does it have on the spawn of animals already there?

Does it reduce the number of the existing animals in spawn, and does it change the spawn location of the existing animals?

May be dumb questions, but I have a reason for asking.

It is not a dumb question, I was always wondering the same. I think that the animal that that it is always 200 animals on a certain map, even if one is added.

I'm under the impression that all of the animals are spawned when you begin the hunt, and that none are added during the hunt.

Honestly, I can't really understand the question.

I also believe this to be true. From what I have gathered over time, I believe all 200 animals spawn in at the beginning of the hunt.

I think this 200 is a wild guess.

Probably not completely off the scale but still founded on nothing but guessing

Which doesn't answer the question, really.

In other words, when they add a new species to a map, you'll see less of the other species as the "200 animals" doesn't change.

That is what I am asking. So we have a total of about 200 per map.

Other ? Does it affect where previously existing animals spawn?

That I'm not sure of at all.
With the addition of foxes to Hemmeldal or Hirschfelden I didn't get the impression that any other species became less frequent.

That depends on whether the spawn maps are altered due to the addition of a new species. For the fox for example I again didn't get the impression that the spawn maps of the other animals were changed.

While when the red deer was added, the spawn maps on Hirschfelden got severely rearranged.

It's not an automatism, but the spawn maps seem to be something "hand-drawn".
