So I was hunting at loggers point for mainly yotes with my shotgun and .223, I saw a pheasant flying by so I pulled out my gun and shot, it fell to the ground, the bird was just over 80m away. Then a message from doc appeared on the top left of the screen.... I pulled out the .223 and hit it with a single shot at 80m while using no scope on the thing too, I thought I had shotgun out for some reason.... I felt stupid and shocked all in one!
I haven't been playing for very long, so I haven't gotten any high scoring kills, and my favorite encounters thus far are not due to my skill, but rather the lack thereof. I have a terrible time deciding which one I enjoyed the most, so here are a few of them in order of occurrence.
1. My friend was tracking something in the far east of Logger's Point. I used him as a bird dog. Walking about 80m behind him, I was able to take down several pheasants that he scared into flight.
2. Was tracking a feral hog when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around to see the thing standing there, just looking at me. So I shotgun'ed it in the face.
3. Using a compound bow to take down a blacktail doe, I overcompensated for the arc so instead of hitting her chest, I nailed her right in the forehead.
I continue to practice! I'll get my prize buck someday. This week is looking pretty good for hunting.
This is my best shot that's most recent - and probably of all time for me.
I nailed him with a recurve bow from 32 meters while he was running perpendicular to me.
Snake Biting a charging black bear, heard it kinda growl and then here it comes, heart shot at 5 meters. Not a big bear but it was coming to taste ol'Reap.
