YEES my first 300+ elk

i still have a hard time with seeing who the bigger elk brother is and it pisses me off, what ive come down to is you gotta look for a long tine 1/3 up the main beam, if that makes any sence

Congrats! I still can't break 300. I've seen the 5 brothers at least 10 times and I usually shoot the one with the longest/widest spread, then I can usually track down the other brother that has the narrower/thicker horns, but they are always under 300. I got my largest one yet about half an hour ago, a 287-4/8, and he was by himself walking uphill towards me:

Then 10 minutes later I spotted the 5 brothers and this guy easily looked the biggest, and he was only a 258:

Wish I could figure it out by sight.
