The fact that NTs count, contradicts the discription - OK -, but I do not understand how emotional this discussion is. Personally, I do not see any difference: Finding a top ten Typical is by no means more skill-based than finding a top ten NT.
I was lucky enough, to find a NT (does not happen so often), but it is still out of top ten.
I would understand the discussion if NTs were luck- and typicals skill-based.
So, why not accepting NTs for these animals, they exist for. But that is just my opinion.

I'm liking the idea of a year long league event with the reserve and pro jackets as rewards for top players.

I get that you want them to be reserved for the top performers in the event, but I'm thinking they're a little too exclusive.

The reserve jackets will go to the top 3 players each month, which comes out to only 36 jackets that will be rewarded, and the pro jacket only goes to the very top performer each 3 months, so only 4 of them will be rewarded.

I would suggest maybe re-thinking that slightly. I think it sounds a little more fair to let's say, reward the top 10 each month with the reserve jacket, for a total of 120 at the end of the event, and maybe the top 5 or 10 should get the pro jacket each quarter for a total of 20 or 40 by the end rather than just 4.

It will still be very difficult to get a jacket, but a little more realistic and motivating for players to try.

@ Ardillamente ... Would it be possible for a player to get multiple times the same jacket?
I mean, if one guy ( maybe more for sure ) finishes in the top 10 each month or regularly, he'll have useless jackets. Like we have multiple weapons of one kind that are useless because we can only use 1 at a time.

Each reserve has it's own unique jacket from what I understand after seeing a screenshot of a Hemmeldal jacket. So if you placed top 10 in more than one reserve, you'd have different jackets for each.

Yep, it's a non-typical Whitetail, Avery.
How about 2 separate comps,.....a typical AND a non-typical comp?

I like that... Top 10 typicals and top ten NT's.. but the NT's would get a trophy that also has a little insect ("bug") included on it!
