THBR!
Oh wow, an albino already? I think you've officially spent your days luck! Good luck topping that trophy. What an awesome find!

I managed to find 7 of these cats in the mountains on my first hunt so I figured I had a pretty good route down for hunting them already. When it got dark in-game, I started a new round and took the same path... and it's taken me almost as long just to find one puma! These cats are certainly crafty critters. You all nailed the screaming calls in the mountains, they're pretty spooky!

First and foremost, Thank you very much EW!! Every new animal is positive, but this is special for me. I hiked and hunted the Rocky Mountains for 40+ years and only actually ever saw one these ghosts on a couple of rare occasions. A real treat!!! Once again, thank you so much!! :D

Secondly, I don't remember exactly the mapped distribution of elk carcasses on TGT, or know how it overlaps with the mountain lion's distribution, but I believe we would all like to see the occasional cat at an elk carcass!!! ;) (Same goes for grizzly, but nevertheless...) it would add realism and make for a very nice surprise, especially during the low light hours of early morning and late evening!! Please consider: making elk carcasses attractive to cougars (and grizzlies) AND LESS numerous overall. Thank you again!! Much appreciated!! :)

Very good add the new animal. Thanks!
I will suggest ,because TGT is in the western Us to cal it "Mountain Lion" like it is called there and in Canada. It will be in accordance with the region! ;)

Made my first hunt this afternoon. Well, not really a hunt, a combination
scouting and setting up 4 more tents in the NW area ot TGT. (Like HooCairs
showed us in his video)

I was halfway to setting up my last of 5 tents when a Puma called. I saw a
dandy setup and ambush spot about 30 yards in from of me. I placed my
Electric caller in front of a large rock, turned the caller on, sprayed Puma scent,
the sneaked back to my ambush spot about 35 yds on the side of a hill.

After about 10 minutes, the Puma called again, this time closer to me. I turned
the Electronic Called off to allow the Puma to come on in with the scent. (Lynx
sometimes spook about 15 yards before it gets to the caller,...I didn't want to
take a chance on this happening with Pumas.) (I don't know if this happens or
not)

I made a heart/lung shot on this big male cat and it dropped in it's tracks.
Below is the trophy pose and statistics of the cat: (Love the Trophy Poses)

Here's the area I hunted:

BTW, talented competion creaters), (members, when some of you have time, would you create some
Big Horn Sheep comps so we can hunt sheep and Pumas in the same hunt? (I only found 1 listed now)

Really, really nice addition to the game!

What is the best rifle/calibre for puma?

At the moment I'm using the Blaser R8 and the 10mm handgun as a sidearm.

PATCH NOTE
In our ongoing effort to squish pesky little bugs, we have just released a patch to fix a small issue where the whiskers of a trophy lodge Puma would sometimes appear magenta.
So please download the new patch and keep enjoying hunting Pumas!

P.S. Thank you folks for all the kind words, we are really happy with the reception of the new animal so far. 8-)
